Slate Sational [tweede kans]

The “SLATE – SATIONAL” is a masterfully clever trick board that has so far delighted all mentalists. Stanley Palm’s tablet was sold by Richard Himber in the 1960s, but had the disadvantage that it could not be put down. Our vastly improved version can be placed in the hands of the viewer. The prop we supply is 40 X 50 cm and is indistinguishable from a plaque often seen in children’s rooms. Some restaurants also use such boards to advertise their daily menus.

One of the many effects looks like this:

One side of the board is covered with brown paper and the performer claims that under the cover is a prediction. Then the artist lets the viewers call him three terms, e.g. e.g.:

1.) A number from 1 to 1000,
2.) An animal,
3.) The name of a personality from sport, science or art. It doesn’t matter whether the person is still alive or has already died!

The demonstrator enters these really freely chosen terms (no force!) with colored chalk and longhand on the blank side of the blackboard.

Immediately, and we mean IMMEDIATELY , the paper cover is removed from the other side and the audience sees that there are the three freely chosen terms (!) written in WHITE chalk and in BLOCK LETTERS (!)!

A spectator can also remove the paper covering! Believe us, this trick is a sensation! Have you seen David Copperfield’s big blackboard effect? We’re not giving you a big secret when we tell you that this is a “two-person effect.” With our board you can demonstrate the same effect on your own!

Do you know Alan Shaxon’s “Confabulation?” This fantastic trick can also be performed without difficulty on the largest stage with “Slate National”! You can easily invent other routines yourself once you have worked with the prop for a while. The trick can be performed immediately and without a long practice period.
